Hi Matthew,
I have some comedies in that range, or perhaps a little higher, but I'm not sure if I understand your question.
Perhaps you should just offer a coffee/smoothie/drink to someone from KFTV or TheKnowledge. Look at the credits for some films that you like, find those production companies in the directory, and talk to them.
I found that if I even call people, some very experienced people will talk my ear off. A few might even want to work with you.
It really helps if you've seen their work first, and don't talk to just anyone. (Just because someone made a film doesn't mean they know that they're doing.) Some might hang up and be rude, but about half the people do respond if you have the right approach.
