I can't delete my posts, but I can do the next worst thing, and just change the content.
I'm interested in making commercial films. That means, for a living. As in, full time. Like I'm doing, but bringing in more money.
I'm currently based in Aberystwyth, but seriously considering Brussels, France, or learning Portuguese and going to Lisbon, or if I can convince my family to go then maybe even India.
The main thing you need to have in common is wanting to make the same kind of films. I have a lot of scripts, medical, sci-fi, fantasy, animation, but most more comedic than tragic.
All films will be rated U or PG (okay, I had some violent horror scripts, but I'll probably just sell those), none will be Californian, all will be aimed at audiences rather than festivals.
I love Pixar, but also Bringing Up Baby, Laurel and Hardy, some of the 1950s horror and sci-fi (before the genre got gross and filled with foul language), Ghostbusters (1984), Bean's Holiday, The Third Man, Studio Ponco And Studio Ghibli... I think if Frank Capra had today's equipment, The Philadelphia Story would have been a much better movie.
Chicken Tikka Masala is an Indian dish invented in Britain. I think it's possible to make American "flavoured" films here, for a British audience. In other words, it doesn't have to be War dramas, spy movies, baby books or royalty shows.
