INDEXDocumentary filmmaker wanted for a joint venture
8 years ago - robert jackson
I'm interested in getting into documentary making and I'm looking for experienced filmmakers who are interested in an ongoing partnership.
The deal: I pay all the costs involved with the project and any future financial rewards we receive (if any) are split 50/50.
Me: I have an unhealthy interest in documentaries, I have seen a lot… I'm based in London, English and I’m in my 30s with a young family. My background is running my own businesses
I provide: money, creativity, ideas, time, enthusiasm and good at getting stuff done
You provide: knowledge in most aspects of documentary filmmaking and lots of time
If you think you may have seen this listing before its because I posted it in July but I removed it after a couple days as I had too many work commitments at the time, if i didn't reply then please do get in touch again
Happy to chat on the phone, then maybe a coffee and so on.

Hi Robert, can you give a bit more information on the type of projects you want to make and what role you'd be taking on?

Hi Robert, take a look at my profile - I've only just signed up today so have only just picked this up. If sport is an interest of yours I am sitting on a couple of Football proposals that I am confident would get commissioned should I be able to find a partner to help me produce them. Kind regards, Simon.

Hi Robert, I'm a producer/writer/director - and actually just finishing off our first documentary (I've previously made four short films, that have gone on to win awards in a range of different categories) about forced disappearances/kidnappings/murders in Mexico. It's political, hard-hitting, tragic; yet with a sense of hope. It also features Jeremy Corbyn and John M. Ackerman.
Please do get in touch if you think we could potentially do something moving forward. I'm London based and able to meet any day given a bit of prior notice.
Thanks,
Best,
Judson Vaughan.

Dear Robert,
My name is Judson Vaughan and I'm an indie multi-award winning filmmaker that's recently just finished a couple of films, one, a feature-length documentary about 43 Mexican students that were forcibly disappeared in Mexico and the systemic political and economic problems surrounding these circumstances. The films not the first documentary on this subject, however, it's from a unique standpoint as it's based around Mexicans living in London and non-Mexicans uniting together in the U.K. to voice for change and fight for democracy back in Mexico, an end to the disappearances, the impunity and an end to the human rights atrocities. The film features speakers Dr. John M. Ackerman, Jeremy Corbyn and a host of insightful, honest, emotionally charged, factful, impactful speakers.
I'm looking for a great story to cover next, to either find and develop one together or perhaps an existing one
you've already got in mind.
I'd love to hear more about your proposed projects, maybe we could meet for a coffee to discuss.
Below is my website, please do get in touch if you're interested. Thanks for reading Robert,
Best,
Judson Vaughan.

Hi Robert,
If you’re looking for people to collaborate with, the most effective way of reaching other members is to list your project in the Production part of the site. You can do this by clicking on the navigation ‘Production’ > ‘Get People’ (https://shootingpeople.org/production/people).
Once you’ve completed your post, the project will be available to view on the site in the Production directory and will be published in the bulletins.
Good luck with it.
Helen
