This message has been kicking about here for the last week without response. I ignored it earlier because I couldn't be arsed to send texts or emails. Just to share this however with others who may be interested; unless you need to digitise from a DV/DVCAM tape other than a mini size tape then any DV, DVCAM or HDV firewire equipped camera that has not had its firewire circuits blown by miss use (Caused by hot plugging in when power is on and a very common error it is too) can provide the facility you need. There are also a few cameras that take the large tapes too.
