Hi
I am looking to organise a film meet once a month in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
It will be an informal meeting for anyone interested in film making or wanting to help anyone with their production.
Hopefully this will spark ideas and put the wheels into action.
Ideally it would be great to just get those with the distant vision and chat. Maybe help each other to produce films for festivals.

Hi Jonny

Thanks for the post. I don't live that far from Bury and I think the response so far indicates any kind of meet-up would struggle for numbers. I attend similar events in Cambridge and even with the local film students attendance is often disappointing.

Cambridge Filmmakers is probably the best and they organise a monthly networking event:

Thank you for your message.
It is rather difficult to get people together in this area.
It's a shame because I am sure there are very talented individuals locally.
I may attend the Cambridge meet.
