INDEXFinding video work on Bark.com

I have spent over £100 to buy credits on this website to get contact details of people wanting video work done. So far I have made 11 purchases and only one person has got back to me and the other 10 do not answer their phones or emails. My advice - save your money.

Thanks for the advice. I never heard of Bark.com, and I doubt many potential employers have. For 100 pounds, you can get a lot of advertising on Facebook, Youtube, Google, etc.

I hear you.
I was on Bidvine, a similar site that dissolved and I think became part of Bark. I spent well over £100 on 'leads', most of whom had no idea what was involved in video editing, and expected the world for about £150.
I found it ridiculous that I'd be charged about £30-50 to make contact with someone, who often had no idea what they wanted or what was involved in film making/editing. They took a huge portion of the pay, saying if I didn't get employed then the person 'Had my details and might contact me in the future'.
Absolute crap.
I got a couple of low-paying jobs, which I took mainly to get myself some good ratings. But then the site collapsed and I wasn't able to carry my reviews etc over to Bark. I also had to take one guy to court for not paying me; another case of a muppet who had no idea what he wanted or what was involved in video making/editing.
So yeah, not a great experience!
