Funding options for shorts in the UK

6 years, 2 months ago - Clive Watson

It seems to me that there are relatively few options for funding shorts in the UK, and those that do offer it are naturally inundated. It is made more challenging when one's material is of a more obscure/esoteric/arthouse nature. I've written a short narrative with spiritual/transcendental themes and tried conventional routes for funding (BFI etc). I've waited months and it's still pending. I have bundles of energy to put into this (and other) project/s and I feel it's going to waste. What other options do I have? Help/advice would be *hugely* appreciated.

Most shorts are self funded.
