INDEXGetting rid of a bunch of old pro kit

Anyone here interested in some old pro kit? 5 Betacam SP decks (one record, 3 simple playback, one with jog/shuttle, original price between them all around £100k, all VERY low hours, 30+ tapes included), two vision mixers - one 24 channel 1.5 M/E control surface and mainframe (originally £20k+), one small, portable Panasonic one (a grand or so), Sony tethered (no deck) shoulder-mount camera with CCU and power supply and lens, a panasonic shoulder mount camera, a dv camera, talkback system (ex-ITV), a full Avid Symphony system with dongle and 8 channel audio breakout and visual breakout boxes, 20-ish inch Panasonic broadcast monitor (CRT), a 7" Sony CRT broadcast monitor. Boom mics, portable sound desk, plus some other bits and bobs.
This whole load is standard definition and back in its day it was truly professional top-notch kit worth well over £125,000. It would suit a community TV station or nostalgia techie or frankly is better than some overseas studios still have.
Price - FREE(!) - but it must be collected all together in a van/hefty car from Bath in the next couple of weeks. Even the scrap value is more than that. Offering it here in case anyone can be a good home for it before ebaying ;-) Anyone interested?

I'm trying to resist Paddy. The unrestrained collector in me is arguing with the space management department. I think the former is winning. If anyone gets there before me though, it's meant to happen.

I did almost put my hand up. But yes, space issues.
It might be the sort of kit that a museum should keep, for future use re undiscovered tapes.
Perhaps the RPS would take it off your hands, or know a good home? They're in Bath I think?

Dear all, I guess the bulletin has just gone out as I'm now overwhelmed with requests! I'm afraid I've already agreed with John to take the lot. Before anyone feels hard done by, a bit of clarification may help...
This is mostly classic broadcast studio/OB kit, it's not really much value for anyone who hasn't at least heard of genlock! All the stuff belongs together, the tethered Sony camera is meaningless without a CCU, and the BetaSP decks make more sense as a set, and are of a spec to work with either of the vision mixers, with the signal displayed on the CRT monitors.
I'm not giving away lights, but do have some redheads, theatrical fresnels, gantry kit (ie bars, hooks, lighting mounts), some great Doughty tall stands and DMX dimmer which will be for sale of anyone is looking for some. Also a portable reflecmedia chromatte screen and litering (green) with EF lens, for simple, perfect green screening on the go.
Everyone asking for cameras and what tapes/cards they take - you are better off using your iPhone, honestly. This is old pro kit from a time when things were more involved, which is why it was so darn expensive!
