INDEXGetting the Super 8 look in Final Cut Pro

Does anybody know how to make your video look like Super 8mm in Final Cut Pro? What settings should I be using to get that grainy, hazy, golden memory effect?

Super 8 has many film stocks, can be shot in different speeds, so there isn't one single super eight look. Faster film stocks have more grain than slower, in general, but film has been improved over the years (so something from the 1940s won't look like something from the 1970s or the 1990s.)
In addition, there are effects like aging over time.
You might do a match color with some old music videos, in the highest quality you can find, they used to be shot on super eight. Especially eighties hip hop videos and R & B, super eight was a favorite for many of those.
I think a lot of people exaggerate the grain of film these days. Grain can be fine, very fine, smaller than pixels on HD. If shot professionally, super eight can be pretty much "invisible" to most viewers. The quality really is better than HD.
