The obvious answer is that one is recognised by ones works.
Joining 'clubs' is rarely useful. Being 'listed' on lists, even those ones believed to be important only has minimal benefits to ones ego or standing within a club. Even IMDB is an unreliable source of truth and by some margin.
Produce films and programmes and one is recognisably a producer. Always better to be unrecognised than be recognised as a producer of bad films though.
Another question might be'what is a producer?' We had an epic length discussion about that. Might be worth checking the archives.

As John says - be able to answer the question "well, what have you produced?"
Produce stuff and you're a producer :)
Almost all film festivals charge fees and make their money from producers, so self-certifying will almost certainly make them sell you a ticket.

I have no issue paying a ticket at all, this on condition I could be recognized as Producer.
Therefore my question where to find links of ongoing Film Festivals in Europe.
About your very honest answer,John,to be very first a qualitative producer, unfortunately I started
This career a bit late, aged 66,and do not want to invest fortunes to be called "a great producer".
Therefore my question for shortcuts to participate at Film Festivals, including links.

We are both 1950 models Gary. Amongst a number of other things I've been a multi tasking producer since 1985 and media and entertainment industry worker since 1973. Most beginners I've had the pleasure of sharing my experience with have been very much younger than we are. Quite often I've found myself at odds with established wisdom when it comes to pointing beginners in carer developing directions. There's a whole industry in extent whose whole purpose is over extend that career development path. As a so called 'qaulified' lecturer/trainer/institution operator (a secondary activity for me), I've alway suggested that beginners ought start at the top. Of course there's some sensible caeats applicable, such as having the essential aptitude in the first place and taking the opportunity to spend a few weeks learning as much of the practical elements that go into the process. I've observed that most people who've managed to succeed in this massively over subscribed industry have been those who have taken paths such as that. Of all the talents that success requires, aptitude is the most empowering. I've often suggested that great film makers are born rather than made.
