Hi Richard,

Similar posts come up a lot, and get very little attention for a few reasons -

1) Know your audience - people here are almost all looking for money for their own projects and so aren't the ideal crowd to target with requests

2) Shorts make no profit, so financiers-producers have no interest. You need to connect with people on a heart, not head level. That's why something like crowdfunding may be more appropriate for you.

3) For a few hundred quid, and related to point 2), frankly as hard as it is to get work right now, a second job/washing cars/shovelling snow/mowing lawns is going to be the quickest way to raise money

4) Alas the industry is on it's knees right now. Indeed the economy is on its knees, but this sector especially so as many entertainment professionals have been left out of schemes like furlough/self-employed assistance, and so are not cash-rich. But with the news that the country's economy has faced the sharpest contraction in 300 years means you may not find people with as much disposable income all round.

It's tough getting money for movies and shorts right now. It may be more profitable to focus on how you can raise the money personally than looking to others at this moment TBH. Good luck!
