I'm looking for a long term producer to collaborate with!

I'm looking for an awesome producer to collaborate on a long term basis. I want someone that has the time and passion for producing shorts and bigger projects along the way. I'd love to find someone who is at a similar position to me. I've made one successful queer short film called Fuck The Boxes, it has been selected at a number of BAFTA qualifying and Oscar qualifying festivals. I have been named by VICE as a "filmmaker to watch". I'm in a good place to move forward with some exciting shorts and I have plans for longer form projects in the years to come. I'd love to meet with people at a similar level as I am, ready to move up in the world to bigger and better things! Someone who has the time and passion for creating.

Hi Abel, you seem to have quite a resume.
I am in a similar situation but without the accolades:
seeking a film Producer or other filmmakers to collaborate with going forwards.

My primary focus is on Directing films, not writing scripts; though I do happen to be very good at adaptating stories from other media to screenplays.
I also have limited film Producing experience, having self-produced 5 short-films in the space of a year.

Although I am currently based up in West Yorkshire, I would be willing to relocate to London for the right opportunities.

If you're going to form long term relationships you need to meet these potential producers in the field... What luck have you had meeting people at film festivals like Cannes or Berlin? It's all a crap shoot but it's a good way to find like minded souls
