So what happens if the Scots vote YES on Thursday? Will there be any impact on the UK film industry, and to what extent? Economically and culturally, what would Shooters expect to happen?

For one thing, it will be OK to distribute Scottish films south of the border with much-needed subtitles.Geordie, however, will remain problematic http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/scottish-and-northern-

What will happen to the British film industry if the Scots vote 'aye' tomorrow? Nothing! The film industry is one of the few where cross-border collaborations occur organically. That's because filmmakers are always going to want to work with the best team they can assemble, no matter what their nationality.
That said, with Scotland's new-found passion for politics, we might expect more indie films with a political thriller plotline...

It'll be a No. Undecided voters are cautious by nature and vote either for the majority or the status quo.
Cameron and Milliband just need to hold their nerve and not say something stupid (I know they find that difficult).
Salmond's triumphalist marches will be an own goal - he's forgotten what happened to Kinnock in Sheffield.
What a pathetic shambles. The IRA must be watching all this in amazement!

Way more important to the British film industry is the huge boost in Californian tax incentives for film. Big American movies will now be made in California. I wonder when large British funded movies will be shot in Hollywood. Will our vfx houses move their bases to the US?

Creative Scotland is funded by the National Lottery. Could be a problem. But there will be a transition period.
Scottish film is already having a rough ride. http://www.scotsman.com/what-s-on/film/scottish-government-rule-out-film-industry-funding-1-3134215
It'll be a No though. I'm looking forward to seeing Cameron getting kicked out. Wish I could be a fly on the wall during his chats with the Queen...

Not much Scotland has already a poor grasp of Film production Creative Scotland are of course useless and under Independence would degenerate further ,nae doubt Gaelic speaking lefties would lead the charge championing the rights of dysfunctional sheep .
George Orwell does not translate to Gaelic well ,
We have already voted no as would like to keep the Queen and the Royal Mail
