INDEXLooking for a sound recordist
9 years, 2 months ago - Keith McGuinness
Hi there,
I'm looking for a sound recordist to join an amateur crew with a few shorts under our belts to shoot a noir inspired short in London in late July.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Keith

Try the production/get people part of the site, gets a lot more eyeballs :)

Good advice Paddy.
In addition, when you are asking for a sound recordist, are you expecting them to do all things sound?
Is it boom plus (EFP?), which uses more than one person, or ENG (running and gunning)?
I've done both. I've also done the Post Production (my favourite work....beats crouching with a microphone on set!).
All roles involve different skills.
Be specific, as your end result is only as good as the weakest link in the chain. Given that sound is 50% of the film, understand what it is that you want to achieve and hire accordingly.
I wish you well with your project

Hi Keith,
As Paddy said, you'll likely get a better response if you post this through the cast and crew section (Production > Get People in the navigation bar up above)
Thanks
