INDEXLooking for the internship on editing/post-production

Hello,
Are there any internships in relation to post-production or film/video editing? My main priority to fulfil my career ambition as an editor are either internship or working as a runner/edit assistant.

The BBC must have internships, right? I live in Los Angeles, so I don't know about internships there, but I would write editors working on features about being an apprentice editor. Find out which features are in pre-production and start sending out letters. Don't email them. That's what everyone does. Send a letter via snail mail. In fact, send follow up letters once a week until the production starts principle photography. Make sure to include your email in the letter. Start with the biggest budget productions and work your way down.
I would also go by the Guild of British Film and Television Editors and ask their advice. They may have internships or know of editors that are open to apprenticeships.
Good luck!

Get door knocking in Soho, still a lot of post facilities there, and easier to get into than the Beeb. Try smaller places like Cat Skinners as well as larger ones like Lipsync.
