I like "Old Dark House."

A lot of my favourite horror films are American, like "White Zombie" and the old "Phantom of the Opera." I love the old black and white horror that didn't try to be realistic with blood, guts and loud noises, but relied on actors to tell the story.

That's cool... It's more that I do the podcast for Britflicks.com so promoting British films is always to be encouraged under that banner... I also enjoy the constraint it provides the guest and I want to avoid singling out the consensus view of the 'best'. I love to discover films I've never heard of... And this latest episode has that in spades.

My top 5:
The Damned (1961)
Scream and Scream Again (1969)
Frightmare (1974)
Symptoms (1974)
Drowning the Dead (2010)

You appear to have similar taste to Chris Cooke... And one of your own at the end... Did you ever get a release for Drowning The Dead?

No, unfortunately not! The same can be said of the other 22 features I've made (though a few have had festival screenings - one will be screened at Horror on Sea next January). If I got round to it I'm sure they could be made available on VOD, however.
PS Night of the Demon (1957) is also another favourite UK horror film of mine, which stood up well when I saw it again not so long ago after a long gap.
