Hi Shawn,

Do you have money?

Yes, I know that's an incredibly blunt question, but it's a serious one, and it cuts to the chase! Getting a film produced is a hugely expensive thing, and maybe 10,000 scripts a year go unmade. The shortcut to that is if you already have access to some money and so the project stands a chance of completion. Without it you're one more script being sent out to probably the wrong people at random.

If you want people to look at your work for a critical appraisal (and it might be brilliant) then maybe do a deal with the guy on this forum who is looking to become a script editor and give him a fee to do a report and make suggestions. Producers are unlikely to even read a script that arrives cold - to do it properly takes at least 4hrs, and it doesn't pay the bills.

Maybe if you post in 'script pitch' newsletter, and you do so with a good mini-treatment of what you have, you may get some attention?

I agree with Paddy. That was a pretty terrible pitch, Shawn. You need to treat your own work seriously for people to take it seriously. Take Paddy's advice. Even if "script pitch" gets you no notice, it's still good practice.
