INDEXNeed to advice and help with special/visual effects

Hello fellow shooters,
I am currently making a short film, which involves recreating news clips, i.e A news anchorman, sat at a desk, with headlines and backgrounds, just like you seen on the news tonight, or last night. Visual Effects are not my strong point, so i just wanted some advice on how to go about shooting it? And how to go about the special effects, i will not do it by myself, i will have some help, don't worry. I just wanted to know how i'm going to do it before i start filming it.
Any advice would be extremely helpful, and i'd be so grateful for the time you have. If anybody knows a good tutorial on this kind of thing, that would also be very helpful.
Thanks again,
Holly.

Thank you so much for your help. I should be doing the visual effects in After effects.

Set the actor at an achor desk. Put a green screen behind. Then your graphics on the top layer. Here's a green screen tutorial:

You don't mention the software you're using, but if you have FC Studio, you can use Motion. Aftereffects is really good for this sort of thing.
To make text animation in AE:
