PitchBox

Hi all,

Has anyone here applied for the upcoming Pitchbox festival yet? One of the criteria to enter your script is that the film should already be 'in development'. What does that mean exactly?

Thanks for any help!

Don't know anything about the Pitchbox festival but the term 'in developmen't in our industry usually means that progress has got further than being just a conceptual notion or draft script. Perhaps things like locations, casting, key crew such as director, DOP etc attached. Story boards and properly extrapolated budget plans. I guess they don't want mere dreamers and story tellers but some tangible evidence of practical actions by people who seem competent and capable of actually making a film.

In development usually means that there's a company attached/developing it. Not sure about PitchBox.
