Screenwriter looking for a writing partner

2 years, 1 month ago - Chris Green

Hi Shooters. I'm an established screenwriter based in Manchester looking to collaborate with another writer on comedy, comedy-drama and comedy scripts for TV. Ideally, looking for someone in the northwest [but not essential] with similar credits and experience, i.e one or two TV or film credits as a writer. About me: I've written for Hollyoaks and my feature film Strangeways Here We Come hit the number 9 spot on Netflix recently.
Cheers Chris

Hi Chris,
I'm based in Chester, primarily write comedy, and have just co-written a show that is playing at the Fringe this year.
Is there an email I can send you loglines/samples to, please?

Thank you,
James

Joe, I had a look at your website - some lovely stuff on there. Maybe grab a conversational coffee sometime.

Hi! I’ve completed a tv sitcom set in a unique area and was praised by an agent who then turned it down because they said sitcoms today have to be set in a family, eg Not Going Out whereas mine is set in a workplace such as Are You Being Served. I’ve completed one episode and listed characters and plots for next 6 episodes. Unique setting not done before, simple set with half a dozen set characters plus Joe Public coming and going.

Hi,
Very interested in finding out more. I have just completed my course Screenwriters Level 4, and confirmed as passed yesterday. I have a few ideas of my own but also looking to assist and help someone and build a writing partnership. I am in Buckinghamshire so not local to Manchester, but I am seconds away from trainline / underground etc.

Happy to chat further.
Thanks
Laura

Hi Chris, I'm in Manchester, so we probably have a few mutual acquaintances. I saw 'The Pebble and The Boy' when it played at HOME - good work. Here's a link to my bio, but I have done more work than is listed. https://www.wgmtalent.com/screen-writers/peter-spencer/

Hi Chris,
I'm an American writer in London. Not sure if that meets your standard, but I'd love to chat with you.
If you're open to it, I'll send you a sample or two.
All the best,
Loren
