I would love to know what could possibly be helpful. Of all the apps to come out over the years for screenwriting, I've found that they've all been garbage except for the most beginning screenwriter. Even things like an electronic cork board; I can't see my entire movie laying on the table, so I still end up using actual note cards. But hey, I'm old. I wrote my first screenplay on a typewriter.

Fair play. I use Celtx and supporting writing apps for proofing.

@Rickardo Beckles-Burrowes Which apps do you use for proofing?

It just occurred to me that I do use a couple for novel writing: Scrivener and the Hemingway app. Though, I wouldn't use them for screenwriting.

@Dan Selakovich when I'm reading dialogue aloud I'll refer to Grammarly which can be useful.

@Rickardo Beckles-Burrowes Thanks for the Grammarly recommend. Looks pretty cool, as most of my typos and other mistakes become invisible to me! Though, I wish they had a plug-in for Scrivener.

@Dan Selakovich pleasure. It's pretty useful.

Not exactly tools but I work with mentors and a top notch writers group. Physical note cards are still a great way to get a strong outline going. Get those right and the software and apps fade away... Although, I only trust Final Draft to bring it all together.

Hi Rickardo, I wrote a blog post on the apps I found back in February. The sections on Criteria I used when making my choice and The Apps may be of interest to you.

Only write with Final Draft, but just had a play around with Grammarly and it looks like a handy extra to use with spell checking and format assistant.
