Script writer / editor - Animated feature

2 years, 10 months ago - Andy Turley

Looking at restarting / reinvigorating a project!
I would love to collaborate (paid) with a scriptwriter / editor to help me breathe life into a project I have had shelved for a while now.
I’m not a script writer but had a solid concept and so put it down in black and white…. I’ve had some fantastic guidance but now need some real world help to get this thing over the line.

It’s a children’s feature film (animated) and currently sits at 60 pages (on Fadein)

Hi Andy,

I am mainly a writer but do know quite a bit about writing animation having done a couple of courses on it and recently completed and made a Christmas animation which I have already begun to place in churches on lease. Okay, some advice right off the bat is that whatever length you imagine your script to be requires 50% more in writing terms. For example. if your story is 90 minutes long (that is 90 pages as one page equals one minute in screen time) the usual length of an animation script is one minute equals one and a half pages which means your feature with need to be 135 pages to create a 90 minute animation story. The reason being that animation needs a lot of detail and not so much dialogue. Okay, drop me a line if interested... Bob

Hi Andy,
I'm an award-winning fiction writer now concentrating on scriptwriting. My published work includes short stories for adults, around 30 or so books for kids, educational materials (I'm an ex primary school teacher), and various kinds of writing for games. I've written a movie script that could go either way - live action or animation. It's currently being read at a major UK animation prodco. I've also written, or have in development, various animation projects from pre-school to YA.

I'd love to hear more about your project and what you need. If you'd like to contact me you can find me at liz@lizholliday.co.uk.

Cheers!
Liz

Hi Andy
I'm writing on behalf of a scriptwriter friend of mine who writes for 'Horrible Histories' and also some animation films. 'Wondered if you could give me your email and I can get him to send you his CV. He's very good.
