Shadowing a script supervisor?

3 years, 3 months ago - Jess Lipinski

Hello, i was wondering how you convince a production to shadow a script supervisor. My exerperince so far has been on sorts and two indie features later on this year and want to learn more and see more to work on my skills and improve and learn. So just wondering how others went about with this and how to maybe progress?

What is your ultimate career goal? you realise that a script supervisor can in many cases be an entry level position (a lot of script supervisors have it as their first role.).

I think you are probably ready to just go for it, and apply to be a script supervisor. A lot of people just need the confidence to go for it. Send your CV to production companies, you are looking for those signed to unions (listed in places like KFTV and the credits of those indie films you like watching), and go for it.
