6 years ago - johnnie oddball

Ive been looking into filming some shorts and stuff with a mobile phone as my film camera inc gimble etc ? There are a few apps to turn our mobiles into film camera as always was looking at the so called free ones ? Has anyone tried any of the film camera apps or shot a film with there mobile as its a great way to get out there and film something but is the quality there yet ?

Hi, I would like to learn a bit more about filming with your camera. I need to do some filming this weeks about the autumn fall coloured trees and I need to learn about some plans of images. How to get these images with my camera. Which ones should be the best plans...

Its not what you got its what you do with it film making is story telling with images and the way things are going we could be using more mobiles for films as there getting better snd better and everyones got one !

I think the best thing about mobile phone cameras is that they're on you when you want them. You'll never get identical performance with a sensor a few mm across as a big one, but the convenience can outweigh that *if the rest of the film is good enough to carry it*. Anyone who's seen Tangerine (famously shot on smartphones) will know that it looks like it was shot on smartphones...
