Calling all script writers! A new group of scriptwriters (film, telly, or stage) will be meeting in real life! We are a collaborative, supportive group of writers who meet to read and discuss our work together. If you would like to join us to read work, to share work or just to listen and maybe give feedback you would be very welcome.
Everyone is invited to come along to our first meeting at Stratford Theatre Royal in East London on Friday 28th October at 3pm.
Please let me know if you would like to read, to listen or to bring work to share.

Thanks for responding. I am planning another one for November. I am waiting to hear back from Stratford Theatre Royal about their availability. But also waiting to see how much interest there is. But good idea about a mailing list. If you send me your email address I will set one up.

Hi Jane
I am a writer who would be interested in attending, but cannot do Fridays due to work commitments. Weekends are better for me.
Currently suffering from writer's block on new projects, but think if I'm around like-minded individuals I might be able to get those creative juices running again.

I meant to also say sorry for the delay. Please email me on janecstokes@aol.com and I will add you to our list and look forward to seeing you at a future meeting. Do you live near Stratford? And re writer's block - we all get that. My advice is always just to start with brainstorming and writing everything you know about your story without censoring yourself or stopping for 20 mins. Then see how you feel. Usually energises me. Good luck, Mo. And hope to see you soon.

Thanks to everyone who came to our meeting at Stratford Theatre Royal last Friday and to all the people who expressed an interest in joining the group. We had a very productive and interesting afternoon at this beautiful theatre and some of us stayed on to enjoy the lovely bar. We are hoping to run this as a regular event and I am currently looking for a venue for next month's meeting. We are holding another Table Top Read this Friday (25th November) from 3-6 again but this time at the BFI bar in the South Bank.
I will send out an announcement as a different stream but please let me know if you are interested in coming along. As always, any scriptwriters from film, television or theatre welcome. If you would like to come and read but aren't ready to share anything just yet that's fine also.
