What do you look for in a good showreel?

Hi

I am a filmmaker starting out and looking to produce a showreel. Can you offer any advice for what things you look for in a good showreel?

Depends how early in your starting out you are. Have you made any sort of film that you feel good is good enough to represent an example of your ability?

For many, if not most of us, we might make a little into, but mostly it's representation clips from our completed projects.

Without the benefit of an archive I guess start making one, might be a way to go.
