Hello Anthony,

I think on the whole this looks wonderful. There's a couple of scenes that look like they could use more effective lighting, eg, the fights in what looks like an underground store room, the brutal scenes. But largely it has a very realistic feel and the outside shots and the gym look striking. I'd happily watch this film. Is there somewhere to view?

It looks good, but so far I've only seen it on a small screen.

The bigger the screen the more critical quality becomes. It's when 4K is aspired to that the difference between mobile phones and broadcast types really begins to tell.

That films have been successful shot on telephones ought to be assessed at how much add on devices and special post production and transfer to other formats has had to be applied in getting it generally released.

As much as telephones are amazing and some are even 4K, there's 4K and there's 4K at EBU broadcast standard. I'm not aware of any telephone that offers that. It's about compression, motion and latitude artifacts.

Apart from notions of being cutting edge or wanting "the look', I don't see much point in using a camera that doesn't produce the quality of a number of sub £3 000 camcorders with broadcast spec 4K and audio . Not to mention highly controllable focus, contrast and filtering.

Why was this film shot on a telephone ?
