Just in case anyone has been mulling over buying it or something similar. It is well reviewed, but I'm no writer, so your mileage may vary. It's $20 instead of $40 (bit more Apple Tax for Mac users for some reason).

Love scrivener, especially for novels.
What is it with that Apple tax? I'm learning Japanese, and I bought this amazing flash card app called Anki. Free for Droid users. $25 for Apple. WTF is that?

'Hey, these guys pay top prices for mid-market technology, let's see what we can get away with?' ;-)
In fairness to Scrivener, apparently the Apple version is technically more complete than the Windows version (why they don't cross-compile is anybody's guess), hence the price difference :)

HA! I think I paid $35 for Scrivener, and completely worth every penny. It's so rare that I think I got a deal when it comes to apps.

I have used this for years. Especially good for organizing long fiction projects. You can create notecards, color code them, and move them around. As you move the notecards, the sequences in the long format prose (or screenplay) also move and re-assemble. Allows you to work intuitively, but stay organized.
