Recommendations

Can anybody direct me to a good group/website/forum/thread (any resource really) for filmmakers in South East England? Thanks in advance.

Not totally discounting London by any means but focusing on the South East region (I'm from Kent fyi). Information about any platforms for young filmmakers more broadly would also be greatly appreciated.

I think you're on it Zac! SP can be used to vector attention to and from any region. Having said that I imagine that there are various localised clubs and associations to be found. Parochial limitations might be an issue though. Depends on aspirational intent.

Like John said, SP should fit the purpose for this.

Additionally, related to young filmmakers, have you thought about Calling the Shots? An initiative run around the country, the agency for the South East seems to be Screen South?

Thanks for the replies. John, I understand what you're saying, I'm just trying to seek out as many platforms as possible. I find filmmaking a niche enough occupation that one has to. Matt, yes I've heard of this. The initiative appears to be closed in the SE for the time being, but I'll keep an eye out.
