Let me begin by warning you that I am not the best at selling myself in all of this. I have recently begun releasing an episodic series of books aimed at families, a story to be read by children (8+) and adults alike. It has come from an adventure I have made-up for my own children and so the story has come from us actually living the adventure. There are set to be five novelette books in this series and is focussed on the main character Archy at key milestones in his life when he rediscovers a buried monster when he is 16.

I have begun trying to convert the series into screenplays which is obviously quite a big leap. I have however constructed a screenplay for a 5-10 minute short which I think would work well as a stand alone piece focussing on discovering family histories but also as a taster/teaser for the series itself.

I am trying lots of different things to get my story seen. The feedback for the story itself is positive and those that I get into the books are enjoying the journey. I know I am biased but I real feel the story is one worth telling and encapsulates that sense of fun, intrigue and adventure we all had when we were younger. When we weren't too affraid to wander into those dark corners of the world and insatiable curiosity puts common sense aside.

I suppose I'm looking for someone with more knowledge in this world than I to help or offer some guidance. I have this ability to imagine the success of the story and I see the short being something that could catch attention, not only for the on-going story but also for, what I hope, is a worthy imagination to help entertain people. I really have no idea how to start, where to start or even if I should start trying to get my mad brain from brain, to page, to screen!

ANyway I shall shrink back into my quiet little box now and leave the professionals alone!
