INDEXWANTED: Short script for 2 female characters
2 years, 11 months ago - Annabella Forbes
I'm a director looking for a sub-5 min script featuring 2 female actors (Sarah Preston [https://www.spotlight.com/1977-8971-3273] and Stephanie Putson; both late 40's).
Location is an artistic, homely 2 bed flat in London with double height ceilings, exposed brick-work - think sitting room and kitchen as your main locations. Also access to a park with playground.
The talented Bobby Genev will be our DoP.
Please get in touch if you have a short in the back of your drawer somewhere that we can film in ONE DAY with these talented actors; ideally just a few minutes long. Must have emotional intensity - they must go from 0-10 or visa-versa. Don't mind if it's an adaptation/re-configuration of old story. Open to anything so long as it's a two-hander with a nice twist.
This is a portfolio piece so is expenses only (and I will cover equipment hire, sound and post), and you'll get to see your little ditty made to as high a production value as possible, with great acting.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Many thanks,
Annabella

Hi Anabella,
I have a two hander called 'Once a Year' which I hits all the requirements including setting. I've penned it under my pseudonym (long story) but if you're interested, email me at :

I've got a corker based on a short story about memory manipulation. It's currently set in a sterile doctor's office, but could be in a house as long as the room looks like it could be a doctor/therapist office and it's free of personal belongings (e.g., family photos, books, etc.). Playground is a bonus, because...well, I don't want to give too much away. :) heather@futuretonic.co.uk

Hi, Annabella,
Saw your post in SP, and have two female two-hander scripts that were developed with the help of the London Comedy Writers.
Abdigail Does Rosings Park or Jane Austen Turns Over in Her Grave: Two aristocratic ladies discuss, in the most refined tones, the problems one is having with the servants with regard to an upcoming dinner party and the felicitousness of a rather intimate device she had been gifted by the other.
and
The Country Gentlewoman: Christmas Editions: Two ladies discuss the proper wine to drink while dispatching an unfaithful boyfriend. (Based on a true story!)
Let me know if either sounds interesting, and I'll be happy to shoot you a script.

I expect you have been bombarded but I have a five min script CANAL which deals with a woman's constant attempts to prevent her friend from attempting suicide. Sounds a bit gloomy, I know but there is some black comedy in there. Anyway, if you'd like to give it a glance, I'm happy to send.
All best

Hi Anna
I have a very short script originally written for theatre which could easily be adapted for the screen which might be suitable..
My experience is largely in theatre and radio drama but I wrote a short film last year which we're about to shoot on the IOW with Toyah Willcox starring and Lois Norman directing. The script won best short script at the Women Over Fifty Film Festival and the London Independent Story Prize last year.
Here's a link to my website and to the film website. https://www.louisemonaghan.com/ https://www.weightless-film.co.uk/
I have more than twenty years' experience as a playwright and radio dramatist and am confident I could deliver what you need so please feel free to get in touch. Email: monaghanlk@aol.com

I may have something for you. About a Japanese female student who initiates an English student to the tea ceremony. He asked for it because he is in love with her.
