For 99% of films shown on those platforms it's not a market per se, they are an end in themselves. The term market in this context usually means ' a place where something is sold or traded' so I'll assume that's what is meant
Actually placing a film on to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo etc., is relatively easy and free. Driving viewers to a see a film usually requires some proactive efforts in order to create a viral sensation that ought to lead to a number of beneficial consequences. It's possible to earn worthwhile money from YouTube but any film achieving that needs to attain over a million views. The real value to most film makers of these platforms is as a showcase, door opener and as a networking tool.

John, I think he wants to be hired to shoot Youtube videos rather than create them. Is that right? Or you want to be hired to shoot the advertisements that accompany some Youtube videos? The post is rather confusing. Not sure what it is you want to do, but you might start with a company like UpWork.com. It's a freelance hiring site that has a lot of Youtube freelancers.

My take, as I understand the request, is that Gary is effectively looking at the corporate marketing sector, maybe. Without examples it's very hard to tell. Something like https://youtu.be/zt3AMFRH2KY maybe? These kinds of informative commercial travel well within small, targeted communities (engineers, metalworkers for instance) as they show something of actual interest clearly, and show the company who commissioned it in good light (but not as a "BUY BUY BUY!" commercial).
If this is the kind of thing you mean, Gary, then start knocking on doors and selling your services. Bigger commissions and higher value jobs will follow the best showreels, so you may need to start with a freebie/cheapie to have something to show.

Apologies for the confusion,John.Dan is right. My intention is to create a platform to shoot the advertisement ,this to make money from the advertiser.
Have produced different short films, and lost money.
Am looking for better solutions.

Gary,
There's any number of levels of agencies and production companies involved in making the advertising that appears on Youtube. It's very similar to TV advertising, and as such, having the tools to produce stuff doesn't mean that you actually can, or would get the 'opportunity'.
I guess you're seeing all of these ads and thinking "I could do that", but until you're known as a trusted professional/freelancer/crew member/producer etc with a good deal of work to show for it then it's unlikely you'll be recruited by an agency to produce any of these kinds of ads.
As Paddy has said, start getting yourself out there actually making stuff, and making those connections that can put these kind of possibilities in place.
I see you've posted quite a lot on these forums recently. From what I understand you're a semi-retired businessman with a bit of filmmaking kit, a small amount of start-up money to invest in projects, and a partner with a similar interest. In your posts you say that you want to be a producer, that you want to make documentaries, that you DON'T want to be producer but actually participate in filmmaking, and now that you want to make Youtube adverts... :-)
I get that you just want to make credible stuff, and that you feel like the small amount of resources you have makes that possible, and you just need to join the dots now to make it all start etc etc... but it's going to benefit you much more if you can focus your interests a bit instead of throwing the net out so wide that you're only going to end of confusing yourself...
It bothers me a bit that the many keen and credible filmmakers who will have sent you their scripts and projects after your recent posting will be getting excited about your potential investment, but then we can see from your other postings that really your focus is so wide that it's unlikely any of that will happen. Know what I mean...?
Sorry that feels negative but it's meant to help :-)

I hear you Gary. Not a moral lesson. I'm just explaining how it all looks to other subscribers. My advice is just meant to help you get where you want to get, and by throwing the net so wide I think it confuses things, that's all. Wishing you absolutely all the best though.

Not everyone is born with the luck or gifts to study in his younger age.
I fell in love with cinematography only at a later stage.
Have the financial possibilty to do it now.If I want to finance smaller projects it is solely because I was warned
By this community that the chance to make is near to zero.
I appreciate the honesty of those respecable people.
Therefore Am continuing to ask advice on this board.
If you think I am confusing people please ask the editor to censor me.Good luck.

I hope YouTube works for promo videos because we're putting ours up for www.MargeryBooth.com later this week following the great coverage we've had in Screen International: http://m.screendaily.com/5112218.article :-)

Hi Gary,
I don't know much about YouTube videos, and am pretty new to all this myself. What I have realised though is that 99% of this is about networking and working well with others. To that end I'd suggest looking over your interaction on here with Jamie and maybe think about how it might come across to anyone that does not know you.
Feel free to ignore this, just thought I should point it out and this will hamper your ability to work in this industry.
Good luck in all you do.
