Last Tango in Beckenham

Haunted House meets feel good
Following a split with her partner a career minded mother and five year old daughter, Emily, move into a house within the shadow of the great Paso Doble, Penge. The home is haunted by the ghost of a ballroom dancer.

Emily is now fifteen, neither child nor card carrying grown up, she looks back ten years to her mum and dad’s break up.

Her dad, Steve, she says was a nice guy who would do anything for anybody but mum wanted him to do it for her instead but Dad was always doing up cars for his mates.

Mum, Jane, was very proud; proud of her daughter, proud of her home, proud she’d got a 2-1, but no longer very proud of dad who she thought would never make the grade because he seemed to have permanently dirty hands.
Emily remembers the day she left home with her mum, the fun she had with her puppy, and the stress of living at grandma’s.

Then she remembers what came next.

Shakes 4 the memories

Total Feelgood.

Meet Rosie.

Rosie is nineteen and lives in a small Virginia town. Her Dad died in a construction accident when she was very young and her mum remarried his friend, Joey. Joey is a genuinely nice guy but Rosie never forgives him for not being her dad and being married to her mum. That’s probably why she spends so much time with her great grandma. She loves the old lady’s tales and Ranger the dog.

Rosie works in an electrical store; she’s got a boyfriend called Moor who is a fully signed up geek. Everybody knows Moor is a mathematical genius. And everybody knows Rosie is just Rosie and she’ll always be just Rosie.

But Rosie doesn’t want to be just Rosie any more, when her grandma dies it’s the catalyst for her odyssey to find who she really is and who she really once was.

Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s scary, and sometimes it’s plain weird-but this is all Rosie’s for once. When she returns to Virginia after experiencing her 400 year time slip she knows the answers, and also who she wants to be.

If you don’t care you about Rosie stop now.
